INTERNATIONAL VIOLIN COMPETITION
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 24th, 2015 - 8.30 pm
at the Max Linder Hall in Saint-Girons / Midi-Pyrénées, France.
That's it ! Our 2nd big event of the year is about to happen : the Prize Winners Gala Concert of the "Marie Cantagrill International Violin Competition" 2015.
The young violinists, 1st Prize winners of this year's Edition, will soon be back in our beautiful Couserans region (on October 24th) to perform at the Saint-Girons Max Linder Hall.
They will be performing as soloists with the Ariege Chamber Orchestra (OCA), under the artistic direction of Marie Cantagrill.
On this occasion, the audience will have the pleasure to hear the winners of all the categories : Cycle 1 (Louise GRANAT, 10 years old - Drôme - France), Cycle 2 (Elodie CHANN, 12 years old - Montpellier - France), Cycle 3 (Elise BERTRAND, 14 years old - Boulogne-Billancourt - France). But the youngest "generation" of violinists will also be taking part : it will be the young Nathan CAYUELA, 7 years old (Foix - France), 1st Prize of the Category "Beginners", who will represent the Category Beginners at the concert.
Last but not least, at the highest level, the Competition will show its International colours once again, as the audience will have the pleasure to hear again the unanimously elected 1st PRIZE of the EXCELLENCE Category, the very talented Korean violinist, LEE EUNMI (30 years old), who studies at the prestigious "Hoschule für Musik" of Dresden in Germany. Last June, during the competition's performances, she had filled with enthousiasm the audience as well as the Jury.
